Scope of work

Before starting any project, we provide a list of all work to be completed by Austin Dream Kitchens LLC. If opening any walls or removing flooring reveals any problems in the electrical, plumbing, or structural components of the home, we will inform you and provide pricing for the additional work before continuing and amend the contract. We do not want to miss anything behind a wall or under the flooring as far as necessary repairs are concerned.

Design and selections

For the design phase, we provide a floorplan of the bathroom, accessory plans, a mechanical plan showing electrical and plumbing details, and the finish selections. We take into account lead times for ordering and delivery of material.

Site preparation

On the first day of construction, we protect any area of the home that has the potential to be damaged including floors, entry doors, interior walls and corners, door jambs, landscape, and fixtures.

Demolition

We remove the existing bathroom. To reduce the amount of waste and debris going into the landfills, we attempt to donate and/or recycle lightly used elements of the bathroom. During the demolition phase, any framing or sub-flooring repairs are completed in order to prepare for the next step.

Rough electrical and rough plumbing

The existing electrical in the bathroom is prepared for the install of any new light fixtures. We also prepare the bathroom plumbing for the connections to the shower, toilet, and vanity.

Walls, flooring, and ceiling

The bathroom walls and ceiling are installed and receive two coats of paint. The flooring is installed.

Shower, toilet and vanity

We install the shower components, toilet, and install the vanity along with the vanity mirror, sink and faucet.

Finish electrical and finish plumbing

The installation of the vanity lights, additional light fixtures, and the finish plumbing is completed.

Finishing touches

For the last step of the bathroom renovation, we check for any spots needing touch-up paint and give the bathroom surfaces a cleaning in order to remove any remaining dust. We also address any concerns before entering into the warranty phase of the renovation.
